33 § Taxes...

What´s the purpose of
paying taxes??
Are governments supposed
to help the people of their countries
with the money paid??
so, why do some presidents and ministers
behave as if that money was their own?...

  1. Basically, for a part of our wealth is manage and use for the common good: education, health, housing, energy, prevent social exclusion. Some leaders believe they can do with taxes what they want to, they think that citizens would vote every four years, and so is enough.

  2. The point is exactly that: "their own" means
they consider the money they collect as their
private property; that´s why they are eager
to have as much power as possible to manage
countries as one of their belongings...

  3. And here comes another twist... some politicians tend to think that public money "belongs to nobody" (it was even said aloud by one of our ministers...), which of course is the best recipe for public money to be mishandled.
