I am a Physics teacher interested
in science and life;
I write about what I observe every day specially about human beings, how they behave in society and with the rest of the living beings on Earth.
I have chosen to list queries and paradoxes that make me and my readers reflect about the present,the past and the future world..... may be there are no answers but they open our minds to thinking.....
Belonging to a culture implies knowing and speaking a language; can we really say we have watched a film or read a book when they have been translated? Universal World Times Kate Fermi
Roberto, you are totally right: a translation is just a shadow of what the author meant... To be able to decide on a Noble Prize, I believe all the people who decide who the winner is should have a deep knowledge of the author´s culture and language.
I think a translated book is only the shadow of the author's thinking.
